Remarks | I have witnessed meteors before, but this light traveled from pretty high up downwards out over the Atlantic ocean and stayed a constant light for several seconds. The previous meteors I have seen either flared up and burned out rather quickly. My wife and I pulled over and walked up on top of the sea wall to look out into the ocean to make sure it was not a plane crashing, we did not see any indication of a light. This sighting was interesting to me because of both the duration (at least 3 seconds), the speed (seemed kind of slow moving), and the light (stayed almost constant bright light throughout the descent). |
