Remarks | We were sitting outside around a fire (four adults) and what looked like it might be fireworks just suddenly appeared directly above us and it appeared to be very close, like it just skimmed the top of the trees. It flew passed and I thought that it might have been a falling star because it looked as though it disappeared just as quickly as it appeared (I thought maybe it had landed in the yard next door). While discussing what we had just saw, my step-dad made a comment that we'd hear a sonic boom if it were a meteor. Minutes later, we heard the "boom." I've seen falling stars at a great distance but I have never, in my 41 years of life, seen anything like this. And for it to appear to be so close like it did was simply amazing! |
