RemarksIt was unexpected, was just finishing dinner clean-up and had the lights dimmed very low to watch the end of the sunset. There is no light or source of light in the direction that it appeared and its nice and dark there. It startled me. It was very bright and very big and happened pretty fast. At first I thought something was on fire in the sky and then when it went out my next thought was that it was a shooting star. I then thought to look and see what meteor showers were happening right now and started reading about the green comet. However, what I saw was not that. The flash I saw was in a more northerly direction and lower on the horizon and more horizontal versus perpendicular. Colors were like a white hot fire with a silvery tail.
