Remarks | I have never seen a green meteor, so I was not sure what I was looking at. I was in my car turning into my alleyway and It was very bright and very green. That it was initially caught my eye. I didn't think it was a meteor due to the color - assumed a satellite incident. Then it flashed out into the fire ball and I assumed it must have been a meteor of some sort and was amazed it was so close to the horizon before it burned out that it must surely leave debris somewhere. I also wondered if it was somewhere within my County because it looked so bright, I assumed it was very close to San Angelo. I was surprised to know it was so far away. I had a very clear view of it for a a good 4-6 seconds. Fun to see a green colored meteor. |
