Remarks | Viewing location is near a regional airport, and flight paths frequently cross the sky in the observed area. However, the object was significantly brighter and of a different color than typical aircraft lights, crossed in a direction not typical of flights in the area (roughly north to south if in the upper atmosphere, or a steep and rapid descent if at normal flight altitudes), and had a briefly-visible tail matching the initial object's color. |
