Remarks | I used to live high in the Appalachian Mtns, have never seen a meteor this bright white, large, or seemingly close to the horizon. I was laying on Lee St Beach 60202, flat looking w/ my head 90 degrees straight up, when I turned to appx 60 degrees North up the shore when the bright light caught my eye. I had to turn my head completely to 30-20 degrees to watch it, seemed so close to the horizon. I was looking basically straight towards Gross Pointe Lighthouse, just laying down w/ my head turned. Was no sound. Waited 15-20 more minutes, no similar fireballs occurred after. |
