Remarks | I was peering into Bootes for Herculids expected here at 1AM, 31 May 2022. Half hr before Tau Herculids, all set in my stadium chair on the grass, eyes adjusted, sudden brief red-orange flash, very large size vs any meteor I've seen. Speculated a burning piece of space junk, didn't seem right as an intro to Herculids. Never saw any Herculids at my location. Its overhead path seemed SSE to NNW. Or, maybe it was S to N. |
