RemarksI watched the Geminids Meteor shower a few years ago, and although I saw many shooting stars in one night, there was one that stuck out as bigger and brighter than the rest. I was impressed by that one, but the meteor I saw this morning totally blows it out of the water! It was big/bright enough to catch my attention at the edge of my peripheral vision and make me snap my head in that direction in reaction, and it lasted long enough for my eyes to actually focus on the meteor in time to see a little bit of a flare up before it disappeared.

Stellar Magnitude-19
ColorIt was glowing a golden-yellow color at the edges of it's head, but it was very bright so the center appeared pure white. The tail that streaked behind it was more clearly yellow.

Delayed Sound

Remarks-
Persistent train
ObservationYes
Duration0.5s
Length23°
RemarksIt may have been longer than 23 degrees. I was in my car with my eyes ahead (south) when my eyes snapped to out-of-place, very bright movement up high out my driver side window. I started looking left to see it out that window, but it had started crossing over to be visible through the car windshield, and that's when my eyes caught up with it. I'm not 100% sure about how long the trail was because it was in my peripheral vision at first.
Terminal flash
ObservationYes
RemarksI think it got a little bit bigger right before disappearing.
