I don't know when this object disappeared from the sky as I had trees obstructing my vision. It seemed like it is going to fall into the sea or on the Rethymno town. Also I had this impression that the golden tail appeared only after at least 1 second after the green ball. The ball was pretty big from my perspective, around half of the size of full moon. Amazing experience given that I only went out for a cigarette. I also found it on wikipedia and it looked exactly like on the picture representing "bolid". Hope it helps!
