Remarks | I’m an astrophotographer with a few years experience and I take regular trips to the desert to observe and photograph. I’ve seen a fireballs but this one might have been the most exciting. It seemed to last a very long time for a meteor and even slowed down. I don’t know if it created a sound as it was very windy and as soon as it escaped my view I ran inside to tell my family. |

Remarks | I was pointing my telescope at Vega and I saw a fireball come from the south, a few degrees to the left and a few degrees below Vega. It continued past Vega and then it blew up again and I lost sight of it as it went north. Couldn’t see much detail of the smoke trail because it was dark. |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Two fireballs or explosions, the first one just before it passed Vega and the second just after. Red-orange explosions but not too bright; it probably wouldn’t have drawn the attention of someone not looking that way. It seemed to slow down and/or break up at the second explosion. |
