RemarksFirst noticed it appear a few degrees right of Vega whilst walking along road from Cambridge North station. Tracked almost straight down (slightly right), till few degrees above horizon. Sky fairly hazy, only brightest stars visible (e.g. Vega, Deneb, etc., Jupiter further round towards south, gibbous moon pretty much opposite side of sky to where meteor appeared), so it was a bit difficult to gauge brightness of meteor -but would say somewhat brighter than Jupiter, perhaps more towards Venus.
