We were traveling down Interstate 516 westward at about 50mph at approximately 10-10:15pm when we saw a bright green streak and then a large white flash in the sky to the south of us. At the time we were traveling in the approximate area of Hunter Army Airfield and thought we had witnessed some kind of military aircraft deploying a flare or exploding, but there was no noise to indicate such.
