Remarks | The object was was really bright, orange, was visible for the first part of its arc across the sky, then seemed to disappear, before reappearing for the rest of its arc. It was big and fast, but persisted for a few seconds. So big I thought it might make some noise while moving across the sky or explode at the and of its arc. It was amazing. I have stargazed a few times with binoculars, have seen the major constellations, small meteors and meteor showers before. I have an MSc Degree in Astrophysics. I was on the second floor of our house when I saw the meteor through a closed window that I cleaned inside and outside just over a week ago. |
