Remarks | The sky was about 80% overcast. The nearly-full moon shone through the clouds, but no stars were visible through the clouds. The meteor was bright enough to be visible through the clouds; it must have been brighter than Sirius, but less bright than a full moon. I was in a car when I spotted it; the roof blocked my view of anything higher than about 45°. The meteor disappeared below the northern horizon, on a nearly-vertical path. |
