Caught in peripheral vison so did not see its entirety. Sky still quite light, very few stars, object probably ended in Pegasus heading for the SW horizon. Was on way to get a better view of Mercury.

It is decades since I have seen one as bright. I have seen several fragment. This brief view of it gave the impression that there may have been some fragmentation but could not be sure.
