Remarks | The beginning of the trail was not seen due to clouds and/or due to the sheer element of surprise. Complex cloud cover, nearly no stars visible, 75%-moon high in the southern sky. Immediately after the fireball over a period of >5 minutes I was deeply focused on any kind of distant sound (dull boom, distant crackle, etc.) Due to corona virus constraints, there were nearly no people in the city and no cars around, providing nearly absolute silence. And there was absolutly nothing heard from the north = fireball direction as well. |
