I had time to watch it enter and leave my field of view, I expected it to fizzle out but it never did and just kept going so fast.

The light was constant, and when it fragmented it remained constant throughout the time I saw it. No flash, just constant bright blue green light moving incredibly consistently and fast across the sky.
