There was a distinct streak behind a bright white point. Halfway across our field of view it split into fragments, 3 roughly the same size and one larger that followed the original trajectory. The smaller fragments dimmed quickly and we're no longer visible just before the larger piece appeared to go out.

Streak broke into 4 pecies halfway across my field of vision, one below largest part, one above and appearing slower and one that flew slightly behind the largest part.
