RemarksI immediately thought that is was a meteorite. I started to doubt myself as I know this a rare event. I thought maybe a firework, but there is no way a firework can have that type of downward trajectory and speed. I just learned that there was a meteor reported northeast of that location, and the direction is was coming from was in the northeast so now it seems like I saw a piece of this meteorite.

RemarksI was driving eastward down EC Row in Windsor Ontario. I was at the Jefferson interval. The fireball appeared south of EC row over a field by Coco Paving near lauzon rd. It was coming down fast at a 45 angle. Lasted about 1-2 seconds. There was a smoke trail maybe 20' long in the sky. It was very close to where I was. It glowed orange and yellow, had a smoke trail and seems to just vaporize right before it would have hit the ground.
Terminal flash
ObservationYes
RemarksIt seemed small, but very bright. It did flash before it seemed to vaporize.
Fragmentation
ObservationYes
RemarksIt did look like some other small pieces were around it, but mostly looked like one glowing ball with a smoke trail
