Remarks | This was an astounding event. I live in a small city near the interstate highway, so we don't have much true dark. You can see the Big Dipper and Orion and the bright planets, but not much else. This fireball stood out like a firework in the sky. I live on a ridge overlooking a pasture, so the horizon isn't concealed by trees or houses, otherwise I would have never seen this. It left a comet-like streak that rapidly diminished, as green as the videos of the AB on nature documentaries. |
