I was a passenger riding down the road and had made a phone call at exactly the time I saw it and it was a very bright green and landed in a nearby cow pasture. I was trying to think of other possibilities like a drone or something dropping out of the sky to its doom but that would have been impractical as there were no people around to be seen and it was dark and the light was too bright to be a drone. It looked like a shooting star except very close to the Earth when I saw it. I feel certain that there is a rock of some sort left behind in that field!
