RemarksDefinitely NOT a firework. Object started nearly straight overhead as a round white ball which became much brighter, changed to a bright hot purple, before returning to white and nearly made it to the southeastern horizon. Most impressive was its longevity. I am used to see a quick streak, but this traveled nearly half the skyline.
