RemarksAs usual it was a complete fluke that I happened to be outside looking at the sky at the time. I like to look at the stars and satellites when I have a cigarette and have seen many metorites over the years. I thought i'd report this one as i've not seen one heading almost vertically down so close to the horizon, it appeared much brighter than others and there was a flash just after it disappeared. I counted to 100 to see if there would be any noise, but I heard nothing. Many thanks, Pete
