NameCarol L
Experience Level1/5
RemarksSaw while driving to work. When it came into my FOV, I immediately thought it was a rocket launch (I previously lived near Kennedy Space Center). The origin point of the trail was very bright. But they don't launch rockets in N. AL and the angle was wrong. Decided it my be a plane and the sun was hitting the contrail at an interesting angle. A couple of trees blocked my view for a second then I came to a stop sign. Decided to try to get a pic with my phone (see attached). The bright light and trail just stopped. If it was a plane where did it go? Why did I no longer see the trail. I continued to look for more trail evidence on my drive in. Did not see any evidence of it continuing past my original sighting. Even as sun came up you could see the remnants and it did not continue. I looked on this sight and noticed others reporting a similar sighting at the same time but different states, so decided to add this sighting.
