Remarks | I was driving and can't comment exactly on the direction nor elevation, but your website wouldn't let me indicate that earlier. The fireball appeared to travel roughly from east to west. I rolled down the window to listen for a boom but heard nothing unusual. This was about 8:50pm local time, but since I was driving and the clock in the car isn't quite accurate it could be off by a couple of minutes. For what it's worth, when I arrived home a minute later, my wife knew nothing of the fireball; she had been inside the house and didn't see the light, nor hear any noise. It sure was interesting; glad it didn't go all Chelyabinsk on us! |
