Persistent train
ObservationYes
Duration60s
Length10°
RemarksLuminous white, persistent train, mostly vertical with some curves that became more jagged over time. We watched for about a minute before we went inside and were amazed at how long the train stayed visible. It was more like smoke than a particulate debris trail. Perhaps because it happened at dusk so close to the horizon, the trail seemed to “glow” white for nearly the entire time we watched it.
