RemarksTrail was white the whole time and it persisted as contrail then a few degrees of final travel the meteorglowed bright orange without leaving more trail but was increasing in brightness until it suddenly disappeared . My interpretation was that the tail was water vapor from ice subliming then of an iron core heating to incandescence and vaporizing. Beautiful lengthening white trail morphing to glowing ember.
