It flew just north of MLI Airport in line with Rock River. It was as bright as large airplane headlight on normal airport approach. It was on wrong path for airport approach and direction for it to be a plane. It flew over my vehicle from slightly SW while I was stopped at stoplight. I was facing east. Saw it at the top of my Subaru Forester windshield and immediately heard it. It went out above treetop level.
