This was really cool. It was already nighttime and very cloudy - clouds were lit against the light from the ground. But the blue fireball was plainly visible as it streaked down. I am confident it made it to the ground as I followed it's path down to the horizon. There was no flash at the end.

There was one smaller piece trailing right behind it - very close to the main object
