RemarksIt was VERY visible. I wasn’t looking for meteors, I just noticed it. I was on a street at night with a lot of street lights, in DC which has its own fair share of light pollution, and although the sky was mostly clear of clouds the humidity was very high (between 70 and 80 percent). The only time I saw a meteor even approach that level of brightness was on a dry night in a rural area during the Perseid meteor shower years ago - and what I saw there was not as bright or long as what I saw this evening. The only reason I wasn’t too scared was that I had seen videos of the Chelyabinsk meteor years ago, and while this was pretty impressive, it did not light up the entire sky. I figured that if there was an impact, it was small, if anything. I did not see where it ended - it passed behind the roof of a house to the north while it was still very bright b
