Observer
NameEve-Marie C
Experience Level1/5
RemarksIt was much bigger and brighter and longer and slower than a typical pinpoint "shooting star". It passed directly overhead halfway just south of and parallel to Cassiopea and the Milky Way from east to west. I had stopped only to look up at the stars because it was cold and clear and dark but this fireball suddenly appeared from behind me and surprised me and then it suddenly vanished after 2 to 3 seconds:- I've never seen one like it or that size.
