Remarks | The most beautiful fireball I have seen, with a remarkable green glow. It crossed the sky from east to west on a gradual downwards slope. It was large, bright and had a trail behind, fairly wide and not all that long. No sound. It was low in the sky and looked quite close, seeming to be only just a few miles to the south of us. My wife saw it too. Bright enough to show perfectly clearly through the thin layer of cloud (which however was too thick in most places for stars to show through). An amazing sight. |
