Remarks | My son and I were driving in the car at the time and we both were exclaiming about how big, bright, and amazing it was to see this. Partly because of the angle and how long it lasted, we both at first thought it was some sort of aircraft flying nearly parallel to us and the river just to our south. The brilliance and burning fragmentation made it unmistakable as a meteor though, unless by chance there were a large piece of space debris burning up on reentry in this area. |

Remarks | In the first second or so, it was bright redish-orange in color and I saw a bright yellow fragment break off. In the last second or so, my son and I both saw it turn turquoise in color and another bright bluish fragment broke off right before it disappeared. |
