Remarks | Driving South on i93 slightly north of Tilton NH. Bright orange ball with tail, Viewed by myself and wife in car. Significantly larger than a shooting star, round, on fire with flaming bits coming off. Tail short maybe two to three times dia. Event 3-4 seconds. Falling at an angle toward ground very fast but much slower than the typical upper atmosphere shooting star and much larger. Appeared quite high, fell, disappeared above horizon. Was clearly a considerable distance away South of our position, traveling from the East to the West. No sound, flashes, no horizon/ground contact. Just appeared, fell, disappeared. Very impressive. |
